Four Bangladeshi nationals, including three policemen, were freed by Burmese border authorities on Sunday after being detained for 18 days for illegal entry, according to a report by the Bangladeshi newspaper the Daily Star. The four men were arrested at around 5:30 pm on March 13 near the  Ghumdhum border crossing, and claimed that they had accidentally entered Burmese territory while taking photographs. The Bangladeshi government had sought their release through diplomatic channels. The three policemen were stationed at a Rohingya camp in Teknaf, while the fourth man was described as a local resident.
