They have electric tuk tuks in the Philippines.I was over there in february and saw them.Only thing was that they drive around at night without any lights on so they can save the batteries.

That thing is not a tuktuk... A real tuktuk shakes, rattles, rolls, belches noxious fumes and it hard on your bumm. The thing in the link is far too nice to use on the streets of Bangers.

Do not worry, give one of this to Bangkok Taxi driver and in no time it will shake, rattle, roll and belch

Just think about all of those electric cords stretched across the walkways to "steal" power to charge the batteries and the disposal of the lithium batteries when they are finished.
