Just a heads up the website timetable is wrong. The express trains run on the hour every hour. ...

Yes, you are correct , I was at the airport 13 March and they decreased the service already. Every hour instead of every 30 minutes.

The old timetable was still on the windows near the ticket counter. No one telling passengers about the change.

Even the TV monitor at the station platform only showing advertisements and a clock instead of telling passenger when the next train is due. The first year I used it there was a message at the bottom screen telling the next train departure time...now nothing.

Not the best way to run an Airport Rail link ! Or maybe they do not have enough spare parts to run the two extra train !

I feel bad for them.... its a good service but no one is using it! Must have cost a fortune!

I thought they changed to once an hour but with 30 min interval between two stations? One leaves to Phayathai and 30 min later another Express leaves for Makasan? And there used to be a schedule near the moving rail entrance.

Also I've taken the city rail to Phayathai and it's not too bad of a journey, especially for 45 baht or so. BTS ride to Sukhumvit, after Siam stop, is another story and it seems to be always jammed up.

I almost always take the rail back to the city. Easy way to travel if one doesn't have too much luggage. Once in awhile I will take the taxi to one of the BTS station (Bearing, Udom Suk or Bang Chak), depending on the traffic.

Au contraire', one of the problems is that in fact it is too popular and there is not even rolling stock! Currently carrying newly 50 000 pax a day on the Cityline.

Is that just the Express line that's hourly, or has the CityLine timetable changed, too?

Curious that the SRT web page shows trains going from airpot to city, but nothing going out there.

Looking to catch the train at Lat Krabang to the airport next week.

yes-also has, but frankly- the time lost is probablyless as you spend on writing this for a 3 min trip.

REASON (the tipical farangwant to know everyting thing:

RAILS need to be realigned at somespots-somesay thats due to buying far too cheap=bad quality Chinese stuff->lowerr max speed, extended trip times.

CARS -some parts are getting worn out faaaaaaar too quickly as promised by GERman factory-carbon brakes or whatever. Thus many more as planned cars have to stand idle awaiting repalcement->less cars in service.

CITYrailisnow ev 15 mins epak-ev 20mins offpeak

HOw long are those above living in Thailand to have realised that www is not always uptodate? or are those simplethinking now beyond the capacity of apps/Ifone users-unable to think 1 sec for themselves

Google maps usually provides good transit routing along with the timings. I haven't been in Bangkok in a while but when i was there Google maps was able to (almost) accurately tell me when the trains and even buses would arrive.

You do know that it's only one stop right?

Oh yeah. But still too far to walk with my bags. crazy.gif

I'll catch the minivan from Ban Phe and it drops me off at Lat Krabang. From there, straight to the airport - one stop is fine. Better than going all the way into the city and then having to turn around and come all the way back!
