Sorry To Tease Again, But Hennessey At Again, This Time It's Not Your Average Exige, Bugatti Killer

VW entered the Rally World Championship this season for the first time in 25 years with a car of its own. It won the first stage of the first rally it attented, finished 2nd in the overall standings of the Monte Carlo, and twice first in Sweden and Mexico. Leads the standings, and it looks like Sebastien Loeb and Citroen will finally lose the title for the first time for ten years back to back.

I have no doubt that if VW wants its product to remain on top of all supercars, it will. The Bugatti is also a distinctive car, one of a kind, while looking at the Hennessey a question pops up inevitably; what is that? A Tesla? Wartburg Melkus? Opel GT? It's so mistakable.

I'm all VW's and glad to hear about the success in the WRC as I'm not getting to view it here and was anticipating their entry as they put a couple of years into getting it right before competing not to mention their Skoda efforts. BUT there is no mistaking what car the OP is about it's quite out front. Of course with a company the size of VW they have the resources to gain the top seed (which based on the article they never really owned BTW). That fact alone makes this David and Goliath story all that much more impressive on behalf of Hennessey..

JFYI Way too early to start counting out Citroen or Sabastien Leob as has yet to run his strongest events, the cold, snow and ice have always been whatever Achilles heel he has ever had Ford threatened for plenty of years but couldn't manage to do it either. It comes down to a lot more then just equipment and Citroen and Sabastiens combined experience are going to be a formidable obstacle to VW's assault out of the box..

Well the Fiat certainly is a brick, I thought it was a widened out, flat faced, beetle at first. That's a car that's all ponies and no styling. With a V12 where do the people sit, BTW big diff between something someone makes for a project car and the OP though..

Just seen an article on this in EVO from a few months back. This is the companys previous project. Ford GT, 2000 bhp at the flywheel. Can't be used fully until 170 mph. biggrin.png
