Where Can I Buy A Cheap Camera Tripod In The Chalong Area?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anybody know where I can buy a cheapish camera tripod in the Chalong area? I don't need anything of professional quality...

Thanks

best bet is go to the photo shops in Central for price and selection

There is a camera shop in Home Pro Village near to the Circle, they should have what you're looking for.

That shop has been replaced by a clothing shop long time ago.

As I discovered a few hours ago. Thanks nonetheless...

My apologies for the duff information, although I pass through that mall maybe once a month or so, I hadn't noticed it had gone. Looks like Central (which tends to have the higher end equipment such as Manfrotto tripods) or maybe downstairs in Big C.

When I purchased my camera from Power buy at Central, they gave me an tripod for free. I think the price was 200B or similar. Obviously not great quality, but works for my purposes.

I don't need anything fancy. I just want to shoot a few sunrise/sunset timelapse shots from some of Phuket's amazing viewpoints before I leave to go back to the UK. Anybody got any suggestions of other cool shit I could shoot timelapse shots of?

Back in my country of origin, about this time of the year, there is always lots of debate of the dog feces which get visible when the snow melts. Those would be great subjects to take cool shit time-lapse movies, but unfortunately not really practical here in the tropics.

Instead there might be other possibilities.

- Go close to the airport and record multiple plane landings

- Get to the port and see how the boats are moving in and out

- See how traffic flows in some busy roundabouts (two lady monument could be one)

- In case of storm, make a time-lapse of the storm formation or lightnings

Thanks for the suggestions. These have given me some food for thought.

De nada.

Other things could be to take time lapses of people in general. Some street view, restaurant while people are eating etc.

You did remind me that I need to download and try the Canon CHDK as my camera does not originally support time-lapse movies. Thanks for that.
