Have You Ever Used S7 Airline From Bkk To Russia?

I write to ask about the safety of S7 airline as I want to fly from Moscow to Suvarnabhumi in a few months. They are over $200 cheaper than transaero for a one way flight. Due to the incompetence of thai airways its not possible for me to book a one way ticket from LOS. It can only be booked in moscow.

The research I have done on S7 indicates that there's be no recent incidents and only one crash landing of an S7 airplane. One aircraft was taken by a surface to air missile launched from Ukraine another taken out by terrorist bombing. But apart from that, it has a good safety record!

Are the planes old? What was the service like?

They don't fly the old Tupolevs any more, so you should be fine.

Haven't flown them but they're part of the oneworld alliance and oneworld wouldn't accept a dodgy airline. They'll be no worse than Transaero anyway.

I have flown on S7, no problems.

Modern planes, they reminded me of a Russian version of Easy jet.

I wouldn't have any problems using them again.
