Young Female Burglar Busted In Pattaya Apartment

PATTAYA:--A 19-year-old female was caught burglarizing a South Pattaya apartment by the 35-year-old renter after she returned home from work. The victim called on neighbors to help detain the suspect. The thief told police she stole money and property to look after her girlfriend.

Education Min campaigning against alcohol in schools

BANGKOK, 29 April 2013 (NNT) – The Education Ministry has joined hands with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation in launching a campaign against alcohol consumption in schools, while expressing concerns over the rising number of new drinkers each year.

Thai travellers highly influenced by reviews

BANGKOK: -- Thai travellers are ranked highest globally (58 per cent) for being highly influenced by other travellers' reviews and opinions in travel review websites, according to a study by global travel site TripAdvisor.

The latest study also found that Thai travellers are online and going on social networks even during a trip. They are some of the biggest users globally of social media (52 per cent) when researching and planning their trips, with the most popular being Facebook. During a trip, the top uses of technology for Thai travellers were "uploaded holiday photos to a social network", "accessed the Internet through a mobile phone" and "using a mobile app to find attractions or activities".
