April 30, 201312 yr the royal irrigation dept.has asurred farmers that there is enough water in the reservoirs, but, but, but they are now worried about the shortage in the north eastern area's of udon thani and nakon ratchasima and the director general mr.lertviroj kowattana has asked farmers to refrain from agricultural activities.what does that mean. there was plenty of water wasted 2weeks ago[songkran] who wants to be a poor farmer. next will be a shortage of fresh local produce.
April 30, 201312 yr Here in T. Paded, off Chiang Mai/Hang dong road the rice fields are cut, but there is no water flowing to flood land, work and replant. A couple of paddy's got 4 crops last year, but looks like we may see a water shortage, even though the government says all is good to go.
April 30, 201312 yr Maybe they're holding back on giving water to the canals to help reduce those massive stockpiles a bit
May 2, 201312 yr We are going to need some rain for sure! Not much rain last year. Of course the government does not want to tell anyone there is a water shortage...
