ABCer
We are all here for one reason or the other. I assume that no expat had been sent here against his/her will. Thus we like being here, yet... Please discuss: What if you had unlimited power to change this country to the better - what would you do? N.B. Remember, we are all guests here and be frank but polite! Thats right but I know plenty who are living here with the arse out of their rompers that will not go home because there will be a welcoming comittee waiting as soon as they step off that plane

theblether
I think I would explain the concept of pavements to the Thais. It seems to have passed them by. Edited April 30, 2013 by theblether
Soutpeel
Must be school holiday time again... But to answer your question... I would make it illegal for farang males over the age of 55 from marrying Thai women.. I would have crack downs on everything and I would make Thailand a world hub of something or other.. any tourist who is was considered medically obsese would not be allowed a visa and would require an IQ test for all others Edited April 30, 2013 by Soutpeel
HardenedSoul
Wouldn't change a thing. Hear, hear. Don't get me wrong; quite a few things irk me but, IMO, learning to deal with and/or ignore minor annoyances is best regarded as an opportunity to develop and better oneself. The Thais will get there in their own sweet time.

The trick is to not unwrap them. Simply cut the cut the corner off the bottom of the bag ... or if it's the sauce bag then just snip the corner off. Solved the problem for me ... I watched what the Thais did. .

dean999
I would just change the exchange rate. 1 US Dollar = 1000 Baht 1 Pound = 1000 Baht You get the idea. If this was the case, everything else wouldn't matter. Example, no helmet....200 Baht fine. No problem, here's 200, plus have another 200 for some beer. No worries. Sorry once again. Had I wanted what I had back home - I wouldn't be here. Leave the cops where they are. They are happy. I am happy to be my own self. They deserve a medal "For not Interfering". krisb
I'd have Thai electricians retrained to our standards. I'd get rid of that time in the arvo when you can't buy booze. It gets me everytime and it's dumb. Easier more welcoming health system and visas, like my country gave my wife. Those ladies selling wooden frogs, gone for sure. Rude pos. Same prices for Thais and falang, none of this ours and them pricing crap. ....to be continued.

impulse
Golly, sergeant. I got barely enuf brane energy to keep from fallin' over. Thakkar
Since a Thai smile has numerous meanings, all smiles, by law, must be followed up with an explanation.
