I'm looking to buy bunk beds. I live in Khon Kaen but would travel to get good ones - any ideas where to buy?

Check the internet, there's lots of sites with photos of some nice designs for kids or adults, plus designs incorporating wardrobes, desks etc.

My son and his wife recently found several sites and just given a local furniture builder a job to build one of the designs (90% is MDF boards) for the bedroom of their two young daughters. I'm guessing you could easily find a local furniture guy in Khon Kaen who could make these.

My son took this route because he discovered that the bunk beds available in shops were lacking in any interesting design / didn't incorporate other functionality / and he had strong concerns about the safety of simple ladders.

In our case the design incorporates a full stairway (rather than a simple ladder) with high sided walls and hand rails on both sides of the stairway, and higher sides on the upper bed, and some cupboards at either end of the whole unit

Total cost around 2,500Baht.

hi all i sore a good set of bunks on the bypass road in korat 3weeks ago as you come from KK use the road that goes around korat going bkk its in a large furniture hardware shop on the left HOMEPRO its in a small shop at the front of the store hope this helps rgds russell
