Online scientific dictionary launched

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- A website has been created to help Internet users learn the Thai meanings of English-language mathematical, scientific and technological terms.

The Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology has launched http://escivocab.ipst.ac.th, an online math, science and technology dictionary for people and students to learn about these fields' technical terms and their meanings in Thai free of charge.

The online dictionary offers vocabulary for chemistry, biology, physics, general science, mathematics, computer and technology.

Some parts of the website are still under construction, and the institute will continually update the vocabulary.
