This may have been answered somewhere else but I can't find it.

Does anyone know if this years Ashes tour starting in July is televised on either Astro or True Visions??

Would be really pi@@ed off if we cannot see it, seems B grade football matches flood every channel here.

True Visions NEVER shows cricket.

Ok, how about Astro? Any luck or do I have to be left bewildered as to how all the English/Australians that live here get through this misery! Surely there is a way,,,(besides online streaming)? Pray tell all......

True Visions NEVER shows cricket.

It did a few years back, but you had to pay extra. They haven't done it for ages though.

Thankfully sorted with a box that runs off the Internet, has got all the cricket could possibly want, so looking forward to the forthcoming series

Does that mean you can only watch it online? How about pay for view? Or instead of being mystic, how bout help out a man in need?

Unless True visions decided to offer it as pay for view again (doubtful), AFAIK

it won't be available on cable.

Desperate times, desperate measures... I'm watching Ireland Pakistan on the internet just now.

You may recall that Pakistan beat Scotland by 96 runs last week.

Pakistan currently 150 / 1 after 34 overs...

Nice, go Scotland, sad state of affairs but the once powerful and mighty Pakistan are not worthy of international cricket these days.

What a shame, you would only find one more obsessed country in the world and that would be India.

Ahh,,,I want to be politically correct here otherwise my post will cop scrutiny, political instability has ruined this for the millions who love!

I remember as a kid, the joys of watching on tv a live game at Lahore et al. The real challenge of the sub-continent, Pak, followed by India.

If only world peace (is that good enough for the mods?)

Good news for the Ashes lovers. Astro has a pay per view channel, 921/922 that we can purchase for the series. Prices? Not sure yet, even they don't know.

2000, 3000, 4000.......mai ben rai!

Good news indeed but here in Isaan I have been informed Astro does not work. If anyone in Isaan is accessing international cricket please let me know how you are doing this.

In Chiang Mai I've always watched The Ashes at the UN Irish Pub, but I don't know if they are receiving this series.....anyone from Chiang Mai know if they or anyone else are showing it?

Quote again " I will look into the whole thing". I run a pub/ resort, therefore any news I find I will pass on ASAP. Trust me guys, I feel your pain not knowing, although I am getting further up this stairwell. Soon I will know (hopefully) all we need, I am working my ass off every day to find this, not being egotistical!

May the Aussies reign supreme once again!!!!!!!!!

P.S. News soon

There is always Test Match Special; via the BBC World Service or online.

I often watch the TV with the sound turned off and listen to TMS at the same time.

Particularly when Aggers and 'Sir' Geoffrey are on together!

Only problem is that they are not always synced!

True might decide to pick it up now that they're losing the Premiership.

I think the UN Irish Pub may have a Star Sport India card/box setup.

I'd be surprised if they don't find a way to show it.

I am with you on that! As an Aussie I can only handle Aggers pomp for half an hour or so. After this I feel a grating at my soul, continuing on tllI i move from the TV. Give me Ritchie, Botham, Greig (god rest his soul), Tufnell, Lawry, Healy, Taylor and Warne.

For this, I dedicate every day of my life for a month!!!!!

God I love test cricket(Aust, Eng, SA), It truly is one of the greatest joys of my sporting life!!!!!!

The Ashes series should be interesting this year. My only concern is if Australia will win any match at all.

With so many English and Australians on the ThaiVisa board there should also be some entertaining banter.

The weather will, unfortunately play an important part.

That and Cooke's tactics, if the last test against New Zealand which finished Tuesday is anything to go by.

I can understand why he didn't make New Zealand follow on; but why did England score so slowly on Sunday evening, and why did he leave the declaration so late on Monday?

Everyone knew what the weather was going to be like on Tuesday, and it's pure luck that there were sufficient breaks in the rain to allow England to take the four wickets needed for victory.

As holders, a drawn series will suit England; but I sincerely hope that is not their aim and the matches are played competitively and to a finish.
