Mourinho 'the Sack Or Not The Sack, This Is The Question' ?

Featured Replies

fair enough. you don't really see many parallels between ferguson and mourinho though do you? think they're chalk and cheese myself.

i don't think Mr Red 'likened' the two - and I doubt any sound-minded person would see many parallels. I THINK Mr Red was alluding to the entertainment value of the two parties - it has often been said that there are fewer characters around. Whilst I am no fan of many of the Chosen One's traits I do not doubt that the Premiership will be more colourful as a result of his return.

Just picking up on "Gob-<deleted> di Canio". You gratuitously inserted this slur but I must have missed any previous reference to your distain for the Italian. Can you clarify ?

i wouldn't say that there was anything particularly 'entertaining' about mister ferguson either really. seeing as he spent half his time in football ignoring his contractual duties and not speaking to the media anyway, then summarily banning journalists from united press conferences when it suited his stroppy whims.

nothing gratuitous about disliking a self-confessed fascist as far as i know. not to mention that he's every bit the 'look at me, look at me' style of manager that mourinho is. but then lots of people seem to find that 'entertaining' and he's just 'a character' apparently.

Ferguson never held grudges with the media. He said so the other day.

BBC are still trying to put together a response.......

Amen. Managers that go a sliding across the pitch after a goal is scored ought to be reminded they ain't a player no more. Please leave the glory and spotlight to the player who scored and just manage. As I recall, the Special One is no stranger to grass stains on his knees either.

I saw Simon Cowell give a down and out fifty quid outside of a club in the west end. He's still a horrid creation though isn't he

Give me a manager who wears his heart on his sleeve, jumping up and down on the touchline, sliding on his knees etc etc. I love it and find it entertaining.

Far more so than some introverted figure with a pen and paper, writing the shopping list out for his Mrs

Mourinho does both Jack !! A Man for all Seasons !tongue.png

I want Ian Holloway back, he's the most entertaining of the lot of them, shoots straight from the hip.

biggrin.png

Everton should take a punt with Holloway...he's a decent manager and would give them a bit more profile as well.

Stevie would hate it too. :D
