May 22, 201312 yr I've seen a few promoting 7,999 all inclusive. So many dentists around so just look around.
May 22, 201312 yr Basic cleanings are free to 200B at gov't hospitals, 600-800B at a private clinics. 7,999B you must be talking about a whitening.
May 22, 201312 yr I visited three dental clinics to get a quotation for regular cleaning with tartar removal. Two in Patong, one in Kathu. All three quoted THB 1,500. I had a Thai person call them and they all three quoted THB 1,000. So the usual dual-pricing system is in place but all three consistent in price! Pretty sure that I can have it done for THB 1,000 (maybe even less) if I go back and negotiate in Thai. But I chose to have it done in Vachira. Cost THB 400. If you have Thai social insurance (prakan sangkom) you get THB 300 reimbursed.

May 23, 201312 yr Please may I ask where this is Phuketrichard? I was quoted the same but hadn't had it done for 3-4 years so it was a big job.I gave them 1,000 baht but they didn't want to give me any change.I was happy anyway but it would have been nice to have had the chance to say no to the extra 200 baht! It was just after Central Festival coming from Kathu,go through the big traffic light junction heading for Phuket Town and about 200 metres down on the left, small place.

May 24, 201312 yr How much do you want to spend? Its between 300 baht and 10000 baht. It depends on if you want quality or are happy to tell your pals you spent 10 bucks on a tooth job
May 24, 201312 yr How much do you want to spend? Its between 300 baht and 10000 baht. It depends on if you want quality or are happy to tell your pals you spent 10 bucks on a tooth job LOL! Really? Between ฿300 and ฿10,000? Another brilliant post. All the dentists I've been to here change about ฿1,000 for your first time. Follow up in 6 months is usually ฿800. But I have now had the same dentist who is really good IMO for over 4 years. She's at Smile 31 Clinic across from Chalong Police Station and Siam Commercial Bank. Teeth whitening is another story, but the OP didn't ask about that...
May 24, 201312 yr I dont take any chances with my health. If your happy going to backyard quacks then power to you pal. I prefer dentists that actually speak English, and I dont mean broken words with a combination of sign language. I feel comfortable only when I hear proper English. I go to Bangkok Phuket Hospital for my dental work. Yes its expensive, I have insurance but even if I didnt I feel more confident there, if I really need a specialist then I will go to Bumrungrad. As I said before you get what you pay for
May 24, 201312 yr Check this....http://www.phuketcosmeticdentalclinic.com/services.html I used tohave my work done here and all the work was very good. No issues. But he got greedy and now I get the expensive work done in Hungary, like implants, crowns and ceramic inlays for a third of his cost. But a clean and polish in this top clinic is about 800 baht.

As I said before you get what you pay for Nor do I! My dentist speaks perfect English, she married to an American and she's way better than my American dentist! I won't go to BKK Phuket Hospital for anything! Biggest rip off on the island. But that's right, you like tuk tuks too... You don't get what you pay for at those places. You get charged farang prices for Thai work...

But I go every six months...
