sorry mate, I did my run 4 weeks ago, not due back there until August, hope you are able to find someone, would hate to have to catch the mini vans, especially with all the rain.

I just came back from the Andaman Club run to Ranong yesterday.

Went with KBV.

Got back safely.

Have done 2 previous runs with them (one to Ranong/Andaman Club, another to Penang). Driver on both of those was excellent.

Yesterday's was okay coming back in the rain (he slowed down a lot) - but was going like a bat out of hell on the way up from Phuket in the morning when it was dry.

Hafa Flip, Tiger Air has promo fares to Singapore. 1100 Baht each way not including taxes. All in was 4200 Baht HKT-SIN-HKT. I only booked the flight 2 days before as well. I had booked to go to Ranong and just for the hell of it started browsing air fares and found this. For me it was well worth it, especially since the rate to go to Andaman Club I was quoted is now 2000 Baht and I got to skip that hellish van ride. All in all it was a pleasant visa run, though I would rather not have had to do it at all. I had a few hours to kill before the return trip to HKT so I took the MRT into town.

I used to drive myself to Ranong but last time i did the same as Pakaty. Worth it. Leaving Phuket around 09:30, arriving Sing. Around 12:00 local time and flying back at 18:30 from Sing. Got few hours to go downtown. The whole for less 4000 Thb as I booked in advance.

Changi Airport - Singapore has a swimming pool.

Take the morning flight, laze around by the pool for a few hours, and get the afternoon flight back.

Yep - did this last time I had a day's layover in Singers.

I'd been travelling and without sleep for almost 2 days, and after an afternoon swimming and relaxing felt like a million bucks before the flight to BKK (and I think it only cost something like SGD$14 to get in?
