Just wondering if there are any "Irish" pubs in Bangkok that have folk music,.... "Blank Velvet Band" "Leaving of Liverpool" style music - or folk-rock like Dropkick Murphys... Just like a little more w pints of Guinness than the noise of chat and pop music which i can find everywhere... Any suggestions...?

The Dubliner in Sukhumvit 33/1 has live real Irish music by a real Irish band everynight.

I'll check it out, I went there maybe two years ago, but the night I went it was generic pop music... Thanks for the info and will check it out... :)

It's moved from the location you know if it's 2 years since you were there. Now on the opposite side of the road, Soi 33/1 just up from Robin Hood.

I used to go to the Old Bell about 18 months ago, a scouser has it now and it is partially an Indian eating house. A busy place and they always had a guest Bitter or IPA on for about one pound eighty a pint. Almost giving it away by London standards.

Hmmm, what happened to the Irish Music Asia reply I received a notification of...? It seemed interesting and I checked out their links from the email.

Anyway been following The Dubliner's posts on FB, seems nice place still but also the music I am seeing listed seems rock... not the music I'm looking for ... But may check their new place out anyway...
