Popular Post David48
Travel Humour ... Not ordinary humour, there's a whole Forum for that ... just some light hearted frivolity which makes Travel, in all it's form, more enjoyable ... I'll start with Dave Allen on Aeroplanes. So when you are frustrated with Travel delays, remember the old adage ... I'd prefer to be 'down here', wishing I was 'up there' ... rather then being 'up there' and wishing I was 'down here' ... .

dddave
Good stuff; and sometimes a little too close to reality. Years ago Shelly Berman, a popular comedian during the 50's and 60's did a routine... "This is the Captain and I want to welcome you aboard today's flight to...ahh....ahh......ahh.........." Last month I was on a Sea-Air flight from Clark to Bangkok. There were more than a few anxious looks in the cabin when the captain welcomed us on board "...tonight's flight to Hong Kong." An FA quickly got on the intercom and corrected the destination. The Captain then got on the intercom and promptly made matters worse.... "Sorry about that, folks....It's been a long day" Edited June 9, 2013 by dddave
jimmybkk
Going back a few more years there was a great sketch on the British TV show Not The Nine O'Clock News... "When disaster strikes there may be a slight loss of cabin pressure, and a reduction in the number of wings. In this event, a plastic mask willautomatically drop down. Place it over your nose and pull hard to release the oxygen. Then attempt to fit the broken cord back into thehole from which the air is now pouring. Please note that your lifejacket is under your seat. It is impossible to get it out, particularly withyour seatbelt on, so we have one already prepared here. Place it over your head and tie the straps around you. To inflate pull the green tag, press the yellow button, unzip the toggle pocket, unscrew the air valve anticlockwise and yell “inflate you stupid bugger”.

David48
One another thread, this was discretely posted. Not sure if the original poster wishes to acknowledged. No nudity, but it's a bit naughty for concept but not vulgar ... I laughed ... .
pattayadingo
The future of flying ? <deleted>' Funny I reckon. . Reminds me of certain budget airlines and I'm sure they would do this given half a chance. Paying £1 to use the toilet on the aircraft? What is in this vid could well happen
David48
I think that this might have been a voice over until the end when the whole plane applauds. BTW ... Hot Hostie front and centre ... maybe my mileage only ... .

David48
Imagine having twins on a plane...that'd be funny. New idea for a movie...'twins on a plane' There's three interpretations I can image about having TWINS on the plane. The one that appeals the most could occur when we are a mile high ... and climbing!

CharlieH
The captains window is marked with the big cheese (captain, my captain!), the co-pilots window with co-captain (the other pilot on the PA system) and the jump seat is for wannabe pilots. In addition, the following descriptions of plane parts can be found: galley (cuppa anyone?) avionics (fancy navigation stuff) windows (best view in the world) wing #1 and #2 engine #1 and #2 (26 000 pounds of thrust) emergency exit = throne zone (more leg room baby!) seats (better than taxi seats) some windows = kulula fans (the coolest peeps in the world) black box (which is actually orange) landing gear (comes standard with supa-fly mags) back door (no bribery/corruption here) tail (featuring an awesome logo) loo (or mile-high club initiation chamber) rudder (the steering thingy) stabiliser (the other steering thingy) a.p.u. (extra power when you need it most) galley (food, food, food, food) boot space ZS-ZWP (OK-PIK) = secret agent code (aka planes registration) overhead cabins (VIP seating for your hand luggage) fuel tanks (the go-go juice) cargo door aircon ducts (not that kulula needs it theyre already cool) front door (our door is always open unless were at 41 000 feet) cockpit window = sun roof nose cone (radar, antenna, and a really big dish inside)

David48
For those who have not yet seen the 3rd and probably last instalment in the Air NewZealand's safety clips featuring the Lord of the Rings Theme, this was released recently. Special cameo from Jackson, the film's original director. .
