Train Derails At Phuket

Featured Replies

- We was actually planning to open this route next week, says Khun Somchai of State Derails

Department. This train is notable to rail off in Patong, and we are working on a solution, says

Khun Maibpai Igrotfai.

I thought his name was Khun MaiBpai Changrotefai!

Me thinks that....'Happy April Fool's Day.... is the most appropriate reply to the article :o

I have lived in Phuket for 4 years.... I never knew there was a railway station here. MUST BE APRIL 1st

what a great post.

always loved phukets railway station.

george, some more of the surreal world!

Great journalism George!

I was actually thinking seriously of warning people of contaminated laokhao 'till I reached the Khun Somchai of State Derails

Department part.. :] :}

Perhaps shouldn't say anything but what is todays date? :o

I wonder what Khun Ba Duanmesayon has to say about this troubling state of affairs? :o

Obvoiusly blown of the tracks by suspected Tsunami.

Rudder broken by the wave.

Nice post Pui.

APRIL'S FOOL!

Nice one... a train station in Phuket, :-)

Good one............... :o

"derailed because it ran out of electricity"

was the bit that gave it away.

Mind you some Thais can make stupid statements like that.

The funniest part is when 7hrs after the topic starts, someone thinks they're the first one to get it :D

Thanks to all who clued in and stayed quiet :o

cv

someone had to be the first to say it directly ... and take the air out of the joke .... (mods ... time to clean it up :-)

Too early to give it away. Now it's off the first page, there will still be fish to catch. :o

What are you guys on about? I've been catching the train from Phuket town to Patong for the last 5 years. Either you lot are stupid or the acid I've been using is some really good shit! :o

Now that certainly explains a lot. :o

I think you have your hallucinogenics confused, DaveA. It'd be shrooms that grow on shit, not acid... :o:D

I noticed while I was posting my reply just shortly after this thread first appeared, that some replies would be there and then disappear on the next refresh. Seems like someone was actively monitoring the replies and temporarily hiding those that pointed out it was April Fool's Day, in order to keep the joke going. That's why, once they're unhidden, there's so many redundant posts about how it's April Fool's Day.

George wanted to be sure those responses got off page one so it didn't spoil the fun and let others 'get caught'. Mine disappeared in seconds. :D

If you have such talented writers at THAIVISA - may I suggest you bring more of such wonderful reports, not only on April 1st!

Absolutely! I noticed it too.

Now George that was a good one, I have spend all morning here in Denmark trying to figure out where the Phuket train station is located. :o

awwwww... son of a... you got me there ;-)

Nice one!

I thought i read 'erection' instead of election' ......big difference...... :o

I like the "no water for baths ... 2 years ago ... Khun Maimeenam reports .....

I think this is the standard operating procedure for the April fool.

The cunning thing is that there are many ludicrous statements, but none individually more ludicrous than what one actually sees in Thai news reports. Sometimes the names are the only sure indicator that one is looking at an April fool.

I like the "no water for baths ... 2 years ago ... Khun Maimeenam reports .....

Yeah. I bought that one for like a days.. Year I moved here, and was partying with other students.

Phuket has no railway station and no trains !!!!!!!

Yes it does. It is right behind the enclosure where they keep the pink elephants

and everybody knows where THAT is !

Farangsay.... oh.... the Pink Elephants.... how do you kow about that well kept secret????? SSSSHHHHHHHHHH :o

Much more fun than the BKKposts TRT's no tax for a year scam....
