Just a question, Dose anyone know of thai law when a person is taken too the police station and charged, then same day released on bail,

Q, how long can the police keep the bail money and then give you your court date? I think it is 120 days from date of charge?

Please no guess work, just point of thai law, thankswhistling.gif

Think that the person is presented to court every 12 days and police have 84 days (12x7) before the prosecution service formally present the charges, then initial court date is set.

The bail money is returned when the court case is over. ( appeals are a completely different matter)

I think that is if the person is still being help in jail, (no bail payed) not released?

in this case NO, the bail HAS been paid to police, with recipt, then released same day, and now have a separate bank account with supporting bank documents that money (second bail) is ready for court date, so my Q. is how long do police hold first bail (for release of person ) and court date? and return of money?

You really need to ask a lawyer mate, all you will get here are opinions and hearsay, better to have it from the horses mouth so to speak.
