Trolls

Featured Replies

It seems to me the trolls are really targetting the Ladies forum and women's issues in general these days because they know they won't get such a harsh reception there. Take a look at the current topic "Unplanned Pregnancey, need advice please" from jammi, with its unlikely spelling mistakes. Then check out the "Need urgent Advice" from doobie in January. I'm sure it's the same person re-running the same topic from a different angle because not many members - especially the ladies - are going to give someone a hard time if there's the slightest chance the unplanned pregnancy is for real.

Trolls really are sad human beings. Imagine having to get your kicks like that...

The muppet with the girlfriend problem is def a troll. The post was borderline but then this supposed PI producing pics of his gf pole dancing. Purlease. :D Personally they dont bother me, they got genuine responses & the thread will die, so what ever they wanted to happen backfired as we are too nice in the ladies seciton :D. As for jammi, not sure if that is a troll or not, I recall seeing posts by her before. But again, no one has flamed so if they intended to get a flame war going, they failed. The ladies forum is generally the most civilsed (what ever that means) as I & SBK dont tolerate too much in there. It is specifically for ladies issues which would get lost in the other more general areas of the forum, so if someone wants to troll about abortions then fine, as it puts very valuble info out there for genuine posters in future. :D

But I agree, anyone who has to get their kicks trolling needs to get a life. Same as the sad sacks who get suspended/warned or banned from here & then spend the rest of their lives bitching about it on other forums. Pathetic AND sad for them :o

I thought the pole-dancing pics story was quite amusing really.

However, trolling about someone with an unplanned pregnancy is pretty low, but as Boo said, it does put valuable info out there.

umm, you know what I said about letting the thread die, welll, I couldn't resist :o

I beg to differ .... I find the underground forum to be the epitome of civility and class ... :D:o

both banned :o

BTW, cheers Camerata, it's nice to know you are keeping an eye out for us Ladies :o

They're even trying it on in the Buddhism forum now. "My girlfriend left me for a Thai man who put a spell on her. Can anyone help?" :o

But the downside of the trolls is that once you get caught a couple of times and waste your time giving good advice, you start to get wary about replying to any newbie, genuine or not.

Its a laugh a minite here... when you look under the bonet :o
