Nana Disco to Reopen On July 24th

Wednesday - Tonights gonna be a good night! The long awaited reopening of the famous Nana Disco is happening tonight at the Nana Hotel right opposite Nana Plaza located on Bangkok popular nightlife street, Soi Nana.

The all new Nana Disco has had a serious remodel job reminiscent of the old Nana Disco a few moons ago. It now has a large open-plan design, brand new lighting and sound systems, a modern interior, with a VIP seating area.

To kick off the party the super sexy DJ Pinky Kiss will be spinning the tunes.

Hopefully they have a new manager as well because one of the old ones was a real tosser. Thought he was a real tuff guy evicting patrons for whatever reason ( some deserved, or many not, from some observations) with a whole bunch of security guards all strategically placed to deliver knockout swings should their be the slightest questioning of his authority.

Not the best temperament to run an establishment that serves alcohol.

I love the smell of some power abuse at 3am in the morning.

So a fat, balding, sweating pensioner living in or visiting Thailand is automatically a sexpat or a sex tourist, is that right?

The first and last time I visited the Nana Disco would be around 20 years ago, lots of attractive friendly girls, I was one of only six or seven guys in there at the time, I left with a very pretty lady, always planned to return until I heard that it was now a grubby place, full of older girls,and that if you didn't watch your drink you were likely to be slipped a Mickey Finn should you invite one to join you in your hotel room. But on reading that it has now been refurbished maybe Its a good time to risk another look.

They refurbished the disco, not the ladies.

I was there for opening night it was awesome! The DJ who by the name Yukie was really good, a bit of hip hop and closed with some house. I have been there many times when it was nana liquid and i would say the vibe is the biggest change, its modern, people partying not just lady hunting. So i thought it was pretty cool. Oh and i was there until after 5 had a cocktail with some staff and even the manager who didnt abuse me haha

it was opening night. try going back tonight and see if that holds true.

opening night at liquid was like a night at bed supper club

I gave it a try Friday night, and it was grim. I was there from about 1:30-3:00.

A few more people filed into the place a little before 3, but I didn't have the patience to wait any longer to see if it would start happening.

I like the go-go dancing idea -- no go-go dancers like those in the Entertainment Plaza -- but the women were neither hot nor thrilled to be there, in my opinion.

The only women who turned my head -- other than the past-their-prime ladies who grabbed my arm as I walked by them -- was a hostess. She seemed to be in charge of checking on the "VIP" tables. She was on fire but kept the guys there at arm's length. "VIP" there consists of two U-shaped booths, each around a table.

Credit to those who remodeled the club, but I need to admire more than that to keep me there.

      Trat: Man punches woman unconscious due to sarcastic remarks

      A violent altercation occurred last night when a man repeatedly punched a woman until she lost consciousness, leaving her with a swollen face. The incident took place in a rented room in Trat province, following a drinking session where the woman reportedly made several sarcastic remarks. Despite warnings, the man lost patience, resulting in the assault. Trat City Police received an emergency call at around 10.40pm yesterday, November 19, reporting a serious physical altercation with one injured party at a rented room in Soi Tung Kok, Village 1, Wang Krachae subdistrict, Mueang district, Trat province. Upon notification, Police Lieutenant Somchok Thipayot, head of the Trat City Patrol, coordinated with Sawang Boon Rescue in Trat to attend the scene. They found the victim, 55 year old Suphap, unconscious with a swollen and bruised face, bleeding from her mouth and nose. Initial first aid was administered before she was transferred to Trat Hospital for further treatment. The alleged perpetrator was identified as 52 year old Adichat. Adichat explained that he worked as a labourer and had previously rented a room in the area before moving away for work. Upon returning, he has been staying with friends for over a month. On the evening of the incident, after finishing work, he sat down to drink whiskey with friends, as was their usual routine. Suphap joined the group for drinks. As the evening progressed, the friends departed, leaving Adichat and Suphap. She began making sarcastic remarks, particularly about him temporarily staying with friends. Despite his requests for her to stop, Suphap continued, prompting Adichat to punch her several times until she was knocked out. He admitted his actions were driven by frustration over her constant taunts during their drinking sessions. The owner of the rented room, 52 year old Wassana stated that both parties regularly drank together. Before the incident, she was alerted that a fight might break out between the two. Rushing to the scene, she found Suphap lying on the floor, shouting abuse at Adichat. Despite Wassana’s attempts to intervene and advise them to call it a night, the situation escalated, resulting in Adichat assaulting Suphap. Meanwhile, Suphap’s husband was incapacitated due to intoxication and unable to help, said Wassana. “Both of them frequently drink together. That night, I was woken up by someone warning me about a potential fight. When I arrived, Suphap was already on the floor, and Adichat was still angry.” The police are investigating the matter further, considering the potential charges against Adichat for the assault, reported KhaoSod.       UK Pensioners in Thailand Face New Scrutiny Over Pension Fraud

      I'm not going to try and match your 83 posts on this subject, but I will put your mind at rest. I'm 80 years old and I'm not stupid enough to give half of my well earned pension away. My pension has always been paid into my English bank account, which I opened almost 50 years ago and all correspondence from the DWP is passed on to me from my French address. Life certs are signed here and sent back to France to be posted in the brown envelope, which is what the DWP asks us to do. I hope that those of you who have been worried by this idiot, who is probably feeling a bit stupid by now, will see that there is nothing to worry about if you haven't committed a crime. You make too many assumptions transam, some of us are more intelligent than you, probably the majority in fact!

      Yes, I am a USAF military Pilot (Retired) and Civilian rated in the Boeing 747/727, and others etc. Met my Thai wife in Tokyo 40+ years ago. She has lived in my American world for many years and now it's time to bring her back to her home and live in her world with family. RVing is lots of fun and we mostly stay on parks on military bases where we are with different services as "Comrades." Like I said: "Lucky and Blessed."
