Is this the end?

Featured Replies

An acquaintance kindly pointed out on another thread that the imminent Zombie Apocalypse will infect Bangkok first. To be honest, I think I have seen signs already - especially some of the dancers in Nana Plaza.

So I'm thinking of either moving the family back to the Old Country, or stocking up with an extra supply of Singha.

Has anyone else seen any signs that the Apocalypse is imminent - or has arrived? Is anyone else doing anything to cope - or better still to Save the World.... we don't have long

I wouldn't call it a Zombie Apocalypse but rather a point of view that makes one realise things are figuratively and/or symbolically decaying. In more basic words: lucid entropy comes to mind.

I think that perhaps it might be too late for you, Dancealot. After a speech like that, I fear that we might have to appeal to whatever vestige of humanity is left in you, but I don't hold out much hope.

Things could be worse than I thought

You are here!

It's worse than I thought....

Will they be the fast moving type of Zombies or the slow moving type of Zombies? Aggressive Zombies or placid Zombies?

can you imagine? we would have people on here complaining "she only loves me for my brains"

Will they be the fast moving type of Zombies or the slow moving type of Zombies? Aggressive Zombies or placid Zombies?

Given that we are in Thailand ... I'd be punting for the slow shuffling type ...

Probably easily out-run as they would be waiting for the Taxi to chase you.

But, eventually, (figuratively) you succumb.

We all succumb eventually.

For the outlay to move the whole family back ome, you could buy a whole big bunch of singhas. Would have to be at least 81 cartons wouldn't it?

I might just tell the wife and kids to stay away from Nana Plaza

"Succumbing"

Now there is a verb that may not be out of place in Nana Plaza.

I always thought that there were millions of zombies in Bangkokthumbsup.gif

Those fast moving zombies are scary as hell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcwTxRuq-uk

The slow moving types are manageable if you sleep with one open in a gated community.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUuCmAbskrY

I've got myself a crossbow and samurai sword.

I'm in a constant state of alert now, i've finished by tenth red bull and i'm going out in search of the undead.

I may be sometime.

Buy a cricket bat. There must be at least one or two Scotsmen who know how to use one biggrin.png

I worry that I haven't watched enough - I really don't know how to deal with zombies, except maybe give them a thousand baht to go away...

You shouldn't have left your record collection at the bus stop .

Hah ... that story has been spun a few times.

It's almost a classic .

Here's the lego version .

I feel bad about that now. It was gone by the time I came back from the karaoke bar - presumably somebody who was preparing for the coming invasion...

The crossbow and samurai are good ideas if not living and travelling in Bkk. Taxis are OK, most of them have their own, but if people are try taking them on the sky-train, it may be a bit worse than carrying balloons................wink.png
