well didint have much luck in my last thread

better luck in this one

just wondering if i am safe to transit in BKK airport while i am blacklisted in thailand..?

May also be on some sort of blacklist in Singapore also as i was detained there while in transit when i was deported back to Thailand from Australia.

is it safe to transit in these airports, or should i keep well clear of them...?

Please only post if you are 99.99% sure of your self

and please no trolls like in my first ever thread on thiavisa.com

about being removed from the blacklist

Thanks wai.gif

If you transit and not go through immigration I am sure you can, but if you have to clear immigration I do not think you will be able

Thank you and i hope your right thumbsup.gif

Ok well I'm 99.9% sure blacklisted means no go for you to enter Thailand. You probably could transit through Singapore airport. Then again they do check passports on connecting flights. Try this, fly into Laos and try a border cross. Worse case they turn you down and you holiday in Laos.

Your just dying to get back to pattaya aren't you. Are you blacklisted for life?

Sure am mate

Yes i think its a lifetime ban for me

but when i win a one trillion baht lottery

i may be able to come back

If I were you, I would NOT use Thai Airways International for your flight - but if your point of transit is BKK, then probably you will do just exactly that.

Airlines do check passports when PAX are checking in, and if they see you on a blacklist (not sure if they can or what sort of informsation is accessible to them - they are not the immigration department, after all), they may not let you go on board.

But to make sure, I would really contact a lawyer familiar with such topics ( there are several in Thailand who specialize in that field), or even contact the Thai embassy in the country you are residing now - they should be able and willing to give you information, as you actually do not plan to ENTER the country.....

It is normally for life but there is an appeal process through immigration to have it lifted. You would need a good lawyer here to get it done.

Instead of trying to beat the system, find a new pattaya. I've heard Angeles city Philippines is good, and parts of Vietnam think it's Vung Tau. I doubt anyone here that has worked a way with a blacklist on their name would share the secret. Besides your really asking us to help you break the law.

I have seen armed uniformed sorts waiting for certain passengers to exit the aircraft at swampy. I would steer clear until you are cleared by the Thai embassy in Aus. But saying that, I would not expect an appeal to work with the "no" mentality of the Thai embassy that I have dealt with.

I would apply for a transit visa, explaining your situation. Not sure how they will consider this, as you must change airports and enter the country.

Personnaly I would change my travel plans so I don't have to use two different airports.

Yes i think i will do the latter and transit in KL or somewhere like that and when in manila it should be easy to arrange flights to cambo, nam, laos etc

The appeal can only be done by applying to immigration here.

A good and expensive lawyer here would be needed.

Off topic but anyone know how much i should pay for a taxi to Angeles from Manila..? And how long is the ride..?

last time i was in Angeles i went direct to clark from BKK flying tiger, operated by seair who has the best looking air hostess iv ever seen in my life

they were wearing mini skirts giggle.gif

Have not made that trip for almost 25 years but expect about 2 hours due to traffic getting out of Manila and can not give current cost but I would check online for a firm/hotel transit service as taxi can be risky and never had a trip where they did not attempt to increase the price (much worse than Thailand in that regard).

About 2 years ago it took me 4.5 hours due to very heavy traffic. From memory I paid around $30-$40.

Hotel was also shocked it took so long , approx traveling time should be 2-2.5 hours

Do not need to go to court, just need a good reason

I hear that you cannot do this anymore with new e-passports

and dont think it is worth the risk

My suggestion is to apply for a non immigrant visa. It will cost you the fee for it. I am almost certain they will check the blacklist and if they issue it you may be ok. I know they checked a blacklist when I applied for an OA so I guess thye do for all.

Bit of a wast of time i think as im 99.999% sure i am on the blacklist

but may look into it as a last resort

What risk? its perfectly legal,

I only know for Americans and Candians,

You go to court and do not need a reason.

Have a few friends in Bangkok on their third names an passports, (most recent 3 months ago)

2 of them had been blacklisted in most countries in Asia,

as to finding out if u are on a blacklist, not easy UNLESS you know a Thai in Immigration that would be wllling to do it BUT as its all computerized now his checking puts him in jeopardy .

Just getting a new passport wont work

as to transiting, i wouldn't risk it, as ur name is sent ahead when u check in, they know ur coming

Correct me if I am wrong, but you plan to transit thru Bkk, which means you don't plan on actually entering the country? If that's the case, then you should be ok. You stay in the transit lounge until you connect to your ongoing flight and do not have to show your passport to immigration. At least that is how it worked in the past. The blacklist only stops you from entering the country (going thru immigration). Best way is to contact an airline - they should be clued up on this as they are held responsible for the costs if they fly an illegal to a country. Or something like that.

Bear in mind, in the transit lounge you cannot meet anyone outside of it.

Personal experince, i have been deported from countries for reason i will not go into

On a new name/ passport, no problems

Most likely if ur on a stop list they will not allow u to board the flight, that happened to me once flying in Europe when i was ONLY transtiting somewhere i was persona no grata

airline will not tell u if ur own a blacklist, thye will just refuse to board you, if u ask why they will tell u they cant tell u.
