How to enable roaming on DTAC when overseas ?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I am presently in the UK.

I urgently need to enable roaming with my DTAC sim so I can receive SMS - at present I just get a "no service" message.

Can anyone advise how to do that ?

Thanks

PS

Hi !

Normaly Dtac has roaming active on every sim not needed to activate!

I use 3 different Dtac sims of different age one new some older I use for online banking tan SMS

On every sim in my homecountry and inside the eu it select a different network

On some Dtac sim I can access another currier what is not allowed on the newer Dtac sim

Sometimes it happen that you must switch on your mobile overnight with automatic search

Then last week it happens that on the sim I use for tan online SMS no network acres possible I send email to Dtac check and send reactivate signal works again

Dtac has the cheapest roaming coast in Asia only 6 bath minute other true Ais over charge 25 bath

The bad story in one word Dtac roaming never works

In Angkor watt Cambodia and bali Indonesia I charged 700 bath on it

Was possible to log on on a network

But impossible receive a call line was always bussy for the caller!

Sadly Dtac roaming does not work also stuff could not help!

For Thaivisa SMS I use a 10 year old 12 call number and this simcard works everywhere in the world can log on and never loose any network!

For more question send pm!

Have you registered for eServices?

If so, you can activate/deactivate IR via the interwebs using eServices.

Are you post-paid (DTAC) or pre-paid (Happy)?

You could, using another phone obviously, ring +66 2 202 7000, DTAC's Call Center and ask them to enable IR.

Or send an email to: [email protected] obviously reference your number and ask them to enable IR.

Thanks for the replies. I have a pre-paid (Happy) service, and I have not registered for eServices. To be honest I didn't know I would need to receive SMS until today. I have sent email to [email protected] and got an automated response. Hopefully they will be able to activate it for me.

According to this DTAC web page you can also call the DTAC Call Center 24 hours a day at +662 202 7100.

They replied to my email saying that had enabled IR, and indeed it now works. Thanks for the replies.
