Download from You Tube

Featured Replies

I do not often download videos from You Tube & I used to be able to click the download button where a drop down menu would appear giving you a choice of format but now when I click the button all that drops down is a blank space. Anyone have thoughts on this? Thanks.

Update your browser. Update all addons and plugins. Clean out the cache and everything else. Update flash. Restart browser.

I use this for firefox and it's very good. It's kept well up to date: http://www.fnvfox.com/

Get the choice to DL whatever resolution is available.

Does not convert the formats. Other software can do that.

I use Flashgot (Firefox) with DownThemAll for all my YT and other video site downloads.

I used that trick (click on the video, then "pop out" and download or similar, was posted somewhere here on Thaivisa) for a while, but then the item on the menue disappeared.

I don't want a program to download a video.

I recently learned that typing "ss" after "www." and before "youtube" redirects you from youtube to another side, where you can download the video, and it works (you can chose file format and resolution).

e.g. www.ssyoutube.

Eventually you are going to be forced to use a program to dload videos as the downloading is illegal and those tricks like typing ss are going to disappear after a while. But they cannot do much against softwares created for downloading.
