56 year age diffence in a relationship..good or bad?

In my case a 56 year age difference would make her a newborn or 112 years old. Either way I way I think it's a really bad idea.

Of course if I wait 16 years the newborn will be 16 and I'll be 72. I hope I'm not that stupid when I'm 72.

The law is 18 for Americans traveling abroad.

That sounds right as I recall it is what was said on the TV documentary I saw. And the same law applies to citizens of Germany, the U.K., I think Australia, and a few other countries which I forget now. It does not matter what the laws are in the country the citizen of those countries committed the act. They will be prosecuted under this International law which has been in effect for about 7 or more years now.

And if people think no one will know, be assured someone is watching. With all this high tech surveillance now, the above countries know [almost] everything. Certainly in a place like Thailand, Cambodia, etc. there are countless spies getting rewarded for tipping off the authorities. On the documentary, the German Doctor (150 kg.) had the most surprised look on his face (like he was certain that he had covered all of his tracks in Cambodia) when the German federal authorities and camera crew were waiting for him to deplane in Frankfurt.

UK is 16, as are most countries in Euro.

A few exceptions like Spain at 13 and France 15.

There was a big story in the UK, last year, about a schoolteacher who ran off to France with a 15yo girl.

UK wanted him back, France said no crime she's 15, UK got him back using child abduction laws, if they had met separately in France, instead of travelling together, he would have got away with it.

The 'International law' is 18 years (the countries that signed on). France did not sign on. I don't believe Spain did either. U.K., USA, Germany, Australia is all I remember now but their were other countries who signed on as well.

Personally I think the bloke's a sicko and the Thais are scum for handing their daughter over simply because they want their palms greased.

But that's just me.

not just you

I do not think it is something I would brag about and probably would keep a low profile around her village.

MY big question is

thumbsup.gif How does he keep up with her in and out of bed.w00t.gifw00t.gifw00t.gif

First of all : sorry for my writing, I am not used to write English !

Is this a joke ? Is so it is a bad one !

He could be the father from her grandfather !!!

18 x3 = 56 !!!

Does your friend really thinks she loves him ?

Is he so drunk every day from morning till night ?

Does he have a lot of money ?

Or, does he feels his end is near, and he thinks it is better to leave this world in the arms of a child ?

In my opinion :

Moderator will not allow this !!!!!!!!

But was she a virgin when they first met, or better yet is she still a virgin now.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the anything.

The guy must be a pathetic creature to even contemplate having a relationship with the girl, and assumiong the mother and father know, not matter if thai or non thai, they should take care of the situation the thai way.The guy is a nonce

80 with an 18 is fine; if she is a day under 18, it is a felony (for Americans). BTW, age of consent is 12 in Mexico, but don't think for a minute you wouldn't get prosecuted in the States.

16 is legal age of consent in America, though there must be no more than 4 years difference in age. So a 20 year old and a 16 year old is fine but go up to 21 years vs 16 and it's prison. Over 18 you can get with a 90 year old and its no problem.

I think, if an American, American laws apply. Therefore, under 18, jail. Corruption of a minor, etc......sad these people pry on the insecure. I met a guy who was in his 60's and paid her family 30k baht a month, and he bragged how he rented a nice SUV to choose his next gf/wife. Use your power....but karma is a b.....

That only applies if it is sex for money.

The relationship part may work: sounds like he has a mental age of about 12. As far as body parts working... well.... He must be in it for her sterling intellect, regardless of her age, right? However, I do get a tad peeved when USA et other countries get their noses into what citizens do in places such as Thailand, which should have sole jurisdiction over the matter. There are more than enough criminals in USA to chase after. But then, USA is "world police".

The law is 18 for Americans traveling abroad. ...

Only if it's sex for money.

And in addition, to be guilty of this crime (commonly referred to as the Child Protect Act of 2003) the offender must "cross a state or international boarder with intent to..." This is because no country can make and enforce laws on another countries soil, even for their own citizens. Because of the added element of intent, which is very difficult to prove, the number of people charged under this statute by the US government is in the single digits.

If he's 73 and there's a 56 year age difference then his gf is 17. In the UK the age of consent is 16 so there would be no UK prosecution if he's a British citizen.

Its going to look bad in all observers opinions and he will be judged but at that age willhe give a sh*t , if shes happy and taken care of the only people suffering will be any blood relitives the old guy might have ie sons &daughters etc who will be anxiously worrying about where their inheritance is about to go.

A 15 or 16 year old Thai girl will look like a 12 year old, I'm sorry but this old man is another glitter or saville.

... or Rupert (OK she doesn't look 12, but they did marry 14 years ago) .
