clockman Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Just another excuse to raise the price of vegetables!
Bagwan Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 “We have set up lots of places to eat in the vicinity of our shrine and trained our staff to teach tourists what to see and how to conduct themselves during the nine days and nights of the festival,” said Teeravut Sritularak, the president of the Jui Tui shrine. I'm reading this as you won't be able to get near the place for food stalls and that lessons will be given on how to wai to a potato. This festival has about as much appeal as a display of Morris dancing in the UK. 1
me313 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 They should also have a Phuket Sanitation festival because no matter whether it's meat or veggies, the ubiquitously practiced mass cleaning of plates, forks, spoons and cups in plastic buckets of cold water at both streetside food stalls or in most of the restaurants makes every meal a health hazard. Maybe it's time for Phuket to begin to wash dishes and cutlery with warm water and strong soap in sanitary conditions. The idea of eating any of this food is not appetizing.
