Man arrested for murder for 17-year-old girl he met on Facebook

I realize that this woman didn't have much time to question his story, but she should have taken him in to meet some of the family and been less trusting.

Fear will appear to validate itself. You sure are right about the lies though; for as long as there are lies, there will be mental illness, physical illness, violence, war and misery but Toddlers cannot help themselves.

We've reached a stage in human development where it is no longer [those with value] who are valued, nor is it [those who appear to have value] who are valued (which has been the case for a long time). It's now those who appear to be valued that are valued.

We no longer value what we like. We no longer care about what we think and feel. We value what others like. We care about what they think and feel. This explains Facebook's popularity but the problem with "conformity" (aside from reducing everyone to the lowest common denominator) is that everyone is lying. We value what liars say, claim to think and pretend to feel.

We just want to be accepted into the insane herd. It matters little if their acceptance of us is genuine or not, as long as it appears to be.
