HELP: Where To Sell Mushrooms In Buriram & Looking For Large Coolers

Hello there. I have a new mushroom farm (Oyster Mushrooms for now) near my home in Lam Plai Mat with my bf. We currently drive almost daily to Korat and sell them quickly at the large farmer's / vegetable market behind Maharaj Hospital, but at times we have a smaller quantity and not worth the drive to Korat. So since Buriram is closer, we are looking to possibly drive/sell the smaller quantities at a market in Buriram if there is such a place and looking for any help to assist us. We would be talking anywhere from 60-100kg each time and if we were to find a regular buyer(s) like we have in Korat, we could switch to Buriram everyday and likely average 120-150kg/trip almost daily. (and more in a few months).

Also, we are looking for a few 200L coolers (or any size) that you see at all over Thailand at the restaurants/shops selling drinks etc. You see them everywhere but having a hard time finding them for sale. We are looking for either new or used and have attached pics of some. (the phone numbers on these coolers are of no help)

Any help with either of these 2 requests is greatly appreciated and thank you ahead of time !!

Question #1: Makro in Buriram

Question #2: Makro in Buriram

Thanks. Will check there for the coolers this week but not sure what you mean by question #1......you're saying they will purchase the mushrooms???

Short answer is YES. Makro (and others) have many local contracts for supply of various products.

If you can supply, and they require that product, they will start a contracting procedure with you.

It does involve visits to your "farm" to check for "regulatory compliance" and some paperwork, but not hard to set up.

A quick call to set up a meeting with the appropriate person should suffice in the first instance.

Take a Thai speaking person with you if you are not fluent.

Good luck with it all.

Thanks a lot as I had no idea they did this. Will have my Thai friend call tomorrow.

Thanks again!!

Thai Watsadu and Buriram IQ Home have a wide selection of the larger coolers, worth comparing to the limited selection of Makro in Buriram. Often your purchase volume with a particular Ice Delivery Company will enable a "free loaner" cooler, worth checking with the various ice Delivery firms that service your facility.

Forgot sorry.......the ice company route is a no go as we don't know from day to day how much we need (or even if any at all) and also we are very isolated out where we are at the farm. But thanks!!
