Any reasonable places to get truck lifter 3-4", just enough to go one size bigger on tires? I only checked one place, and was quoted over 200,000THB to do my Vigo Hilux. I have also heard there leaf springs that can be added to give me the lift I want. I don't want to have to cut front end, as its a new(er) truck 2012!

I went to " Cockpit " and they did a good job on raising my Vigo it was about 50mm after uprating the suspension and leveling the truck looking at it from the side the way I wanted it to look.

A wheel rim 50 mm spacer kit fitted made the truck look real cool.

The great thing about Thailand is you can trick up your motor and do just about anything you want at a reasonable cost. smile.png

You don't by chance have any pics after lift? What size tires are you running now? Have 265/17/65 on it now, wanting to go to 285/70/17!

2" is pretty easy. Going 4" may make it necessary to change the suspension control arms, the steering rods on each side or another longer Pitman arm. Plus a myriad of suspension changes including special aftermarket shockers.

Vigo I had is sold but will try and finds pics, I have them on my old computer, can't remember tyre size but the Bridgestone A/T tyres fitted were taller and were fitted on the OEM rims of the 4x4 big wheel model.

Yep, 4 inch will be expensive as lots to be replaced.

Will 2" be enough to slide on size bigger under there?

Just pick a tyre website, input your proposed tyre size and the spec sheet will give you the diameter, halve that and you have the increase in height compared to your stock tyres. BUT, you may have a problem with steering lock, tyre hitting the body/inner wings.

The biggest problem with big wheel on the VIGO is the front wheel clearances.. Go have a look at the gap between the tire and the wheel well, while someone turns from lock to lock... A lift alone might not solve the problem.

Going to go whole hog with a 6" lift kit, not cheap, but gave a decent deal on new rims and tires as well! I will show pics after as I have already pimped with cammo accents>

Low lifts - Spacers o the rims are a no-no.....apart from weakening the suspension they will cause body contact with the tyres.

Many just put a block or extra spring but this can affect ride and handling and blocks can upset the leaf spring geometry if not done right.

with almost ay lift you'll need new shocks.....spacers on there shocks seem OK.

If you intend to off roads, then you need a specialist, and in all probability a kit.

PS - wheels are cheap but AT tires aren't

PS - OP - I hope you weren't referring to me - I quoted someone about 150 to 200k for the real deal on a 6 to 8 inch lift a while backI

Tyres which I included in the price, I recently checked the price on the Goodrich all terrain TA's 16x75x285 and they are around 11k each.

Off road alloys were about 15k the set..(4)
