Featured Replies

Anyone know much information about the bar called Henry Africa in Koh Samui? :o

Thanks all

Isn't that the first bar on the right side entering soi Green Mango?

It's a beer bar.

yeah know it well, the post above is correct just on the right hand side. owned by a guy called Henry and run mostly by his missus Tuk. what do you wanna know?

it now occupies two units, just on the right in Soi Green Mango, was there last Saturday and the place was packed!, couldnt even get a seat

Yep, i've not been often but when i have been there it seems to be about the busiest around that whole area. I spent a couple of very, lets say "interesting" nights there!! :)

Pretty big in soi green mango, bar owned by a kiwi called Lindley, always busy

this is an interesting thread. why u so interested in this bar. sounds like u have a hidden a genda to this topic. bit of a random thing to ask.

Was in soi greenmango last night and henry's africa bar was packed and it was the only place doing business. What is the attraction of this place?

In my simplistic view their concept works because it's beer bar/girlie bar but somehow they give you the impression it isn't.

Ever seen any other bar with so many working girls and Western female tourists mixed together on Samui? Any other bar the Western gals would cry shame but not here. One of the best illusions on the island, hats off to the owner!

Correct and ofcourse, location, location, location. Amazingly, a concept that many of the start up's of new businesses here still seem to have no concept of. :)

Spot on carmine. Alienating 50% of your customer base aint too smart!

Location is obviously very important indeed but Henry's doesn't look like your average girlie bar and that's another very strong position they have and statement they made. It looks like an 'average' bar so tourist girls don't feel 'threatened' or uncomfortable.
