Most "jerky" style treats in Thailand come from Thailand which is a major producer. These problems are apparently "mostly linked to jerky pet treats sourced from China", although the FDA is pretty inconclusive.

Probably true, but in 10 years working in China, I very rarely saw them bin any products because one customer wouldn't accept them. In fact, that was my main job, to do QA inspections for my clients. And if I rejected a part, they just sold it on to the next customer who didn't have QA on the ground.

If US customers won't accept them, they will sell them somewhere.
