Canned Sweet Potatoes

Where can I buy them? (The fresh ones here are not the same as in the US).

Try Villa Markets , but they do have the orange colored inside ones here too ,i think the wife found them in Makro...

but its hit and miss...I forget , one is a yam and one's a sweet potato.....let me go read my JOY OF COOKING page on them!

I buy fresh at Villa-they call them garnet yams-$$$$. I just bought two and am in the process of starting them to root to try to grow my own--look on line to see how to do this. Unlike regular pots they don't need cold weather. You can also find canned at Villa and foodland mkts in sukhumvit area/expat areas. They are also quite pricy.

Villa's its the right time of the year around Thanksgiving, a little bit pricey, but what the heck, once in a while is OK!
