richsilver Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Where can I buy them? (The fresh ones here are not the same as in the US).
TheWizardofRnR Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Try Villa Markets , but they do have the orange colored inside ones here too ,i think the wife found them in Makro... but its hit and miss...I forget , one is a yam and one's a sweet potato.....let me go read my JOY OF COOKING page on them!
orchidlady Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I buy fresh at Villa-they call them garnet yams-$$$$. I just bought two and am in the process of starting them to root to try to grow my own--look on line to see how to do this. Unlike regular pots they don't need cold weather. You can also find canned at Villa and foodland mkts in sukhumvit area/expat areas. They are also quite pricy.
kikoman Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Villa's its the right time of the year around Thanksgiving, a little bit pricey, but what the heck, once in a while is OK! Cheers
GinBoy2 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Thanksgiving this year is costing is a bloody fortune. Foolishly I decided to ask a few of the local farangs to join me, and it damm well mushroomed.
