draftvader Posted November 8, 2013 Share Posted November 8, 2013 I have just found that, in the past 24 hours, a bunch of IP addresses in the same UK datacentre appear to have been blocked by 3BB. I am going to call them today as there are just a bunch of benign sites on there. I was wondering, however, whether other people could just check them. As an example: http://www.yorkshirecoastgigs.co.uk/ www.caledoniayouth.org I wondered if people could just check and let me know if they can see these on their own connections. --NOTE-- I am not affiliated with these sites in any way. draftvader Posted November 9, 2013 Author Share Posted November 9, 2013 Yes, this appears to be wider than I originally thought. sumofus.org minds.com are also blocked (I have a list of nearly 200 on a UK server).I have contacted 3BB and let them know the problem (though I have a sneaking suspicion they don't have a clue....not complaining...they answer the phone and are polite...that's a start). I can get the bbc from here but kickstarter is dead too. FYI You should use http://testmy.net and set the server to Singapore for accurate readings. FAR superior speed test tool. My experience also. Intermittant connection at home. At work, connection not stable enough to allow satisfactory data transfer between Thailand and UK - result being time outs during bulk upload and download of data. Pisser, because it's very difficult to go back and find what in any given data set has been transfered and what has not. More than a pisser, a real pain the ass. Hope it's fixed soon.
