Hi all,

My father (72) just arrived in Phuket last night from the States with a triple entry tourist visa. He was in a wheelchair (having just put his back out) and in a lot of pain and therefore, was not 100%. I just looked at his passport and found a 30 day stamp on page 5 and on page 8 his brand new TV untouched. Any suggestions on what to do next? If it were me, I would maybe do a visa run to Ranong, but I'm not sure I want to send him just for one extra month, if that's even a possibility....He was asleep when the plane arrived and he said that one of the Emirates flight attendants either filled out his arrival card or helped him with it...any thoughts or advice appreciated :)

Visit immigration office in Phuket to have it changed to a visa entry. It does appear was fathers error with the visa information likely not entered onto arrival card but from all reports I have seen immigration has been willing to correct such mistakes without drama and his age should be an advantage.

why should his age be an advantage do you think immigration are sympathetic to older people

Quite. And more infirm the better if you believe the heart-rending child-takes-care-of-parent tv adverts here.
