mrtoad
I.e. everyone go home so the politicians can pay each other off behind closed doors? Now is not the time for the protestors to back down. Agreed, the protestors must continue to protest against this government. They should not trust anything that Yingluck and her Caddied circus say, as they are just hoping that all will go away and they can get away with robbing the country. A very good point, that is often forgotten by the PTP and Red Shirt apologists.
northernjohn
Well it is quite a list with some good points as well as silly ones. The one that cought my eye was 6. Prime Minister and Opposition leader should sit down and talk. What good would that do. The protesters have more than one group in the mix. Let us say that they got together and elected Abhist to be there representative. Would it be just the two of them with no one else in the room and no skype calls aloud. In other words they would have to speak what they had in there head at the time not what some one else had written or skyped in to them. Or how about this one 2. All parties should not resort to emotional feelings. How could the PTP qualify for that one. They are running on fear.

Pattaya28
1 vital point missing. "Corruption" Voters for or against this "amnesty" have already been paid off to vote "yes". How can this point have been omitted from the list ?
chainarong
There's only one way to end this chaos, but number 10 will suffice for now , of course we could go a-little further and go to the people, after all that is the one's that elected members of parliament answer to , perhaps the members of the PTP (People talk Party) didn't know this, they do now. The country is burning, run by a bunch of criminals and # 1 on all time corruption-lists!! And their main concern is, What do others think of us?? And in addition, they seem to have forgotten the whole purpose of the protest. The country is in 'turmoil' because of what started with the anti-amnesty movement (I wouldn't use 'chaos', that's a bit harsh - for now), and look. Number 10 on the list is? ....... ... typical! Robby nz
The latest polls show an Abhisit victory The problem that the Dems have is that they would have to get an outright majority of seats in the house which is possible but unlikely. Even if they got more seats than PT but not more than 50% of the seats then it would be in the hands of the parasite parties as to who was able to form a Govt. PT now have 2 years of corruption money behind them plus Thaksins billions which they could would use to buy their way back into power. The only way the Dems could get the parasites on side would be to give them the most lucrative, easy corruptible portfolios but PT would do this also. Now that Newin is kissing Thaksins butt the Dems have no natural coalition partners, for the small parties will lie to their electors then go wherever they can get the most money.

Benmart
The Thai national image seems to be extremely important. However, the image takes a beating by those very people who profess its importance. I think some people fail to realize that international public opinion often places more credence on actual conduct and not on the national facade. "Scratch the surface of a gilded image and there is often rotten wood beneath it."
RubbaJohnny
Unlikely paens adopt and calm tensions, return the rock and all the Nops to Saudi to remit huge sums to the local wives and daughters so they needn't timeshare their virtues with inward investors. Ask a firm but respected figure enforce a transparent system like German or Finnish or US constitution, Scandanavian Social system, German work ethic Latin Cuisine and Korean learning of Maths and technology peaceful pact with fellow Buddhists pacifists of Khmers, Malay Curry, Chinese business acumen, Burmese thirst for learning and democracy and of course an easygoing Lao/Canadian/ Irish sense of humour, Okker roasts and Kiwi rugby mateyness where loss of face is how many drinks they share with earlier on field opponents in the spirit of fairplay sportsmanship. Sadly talking Turkey, grease and maturity of Legoland tinges with Muckymouse is the realpolitik where parties have no principles other than pay the to bribe you more than the other colour. In the interim rum sodomy and the lash may appeal to traditionalists but I think the current hiatus will rumble on .As a graduate parliament has failed perhaps only allow, women, monks, ajarns, rubba tappers have a go ? That was the problem when the Democrats were in the Prime Ministers office they had to allow parties with less than honorable reasons in to positions of power and easy access to corruption. They needed Newin and his 20 votes and these were all seasoned corruption experts trained at the feet of the master Thaksin.
indyuk
I like most of that. The latest polls show an Abhisit victory Sent from my Nexus 4 using Thai-visa Connect Thailand mobile app Few of the protesters have any idea what they are protesting against. I Challenge all of the the pollsters to poll the protesters on the street with one simple question "What are you protesting about" The Poll will find that the majority have no idea what their particular protest movement is about. Such is the dis-information that Khun Abhisit offers as fact. As for the Chaos that is damaging Thailand you'll find that it is all regurgitated from inside Khun Abhisit's infantile brain.
