I keep getting a problem with my computer and the message i get is that i have to restart my computer as there is a problem with my winstock provider ,what the f is that? anything i can do except restart my computer?

What OS are you running?

There is a Microsoft Fixit available for these kind of problems, search for "winsock reset fixit" and check if it applies to your OS

If you are not really sure what you are doing and reading something and it looks like "gibberish" then save yourself the hassle and the heartache.

And the good thing about that is, that when it's not working anymore you can blame the computer guy
