Hey guys what website has information on hotel deposits, limousine service charges, free breakfast and so on.

I know there are sites like TA, agoda but they don't contain all the important information is there a site that has those information?

Booking.com and agoda are both sub sites of Priceline.

Main dif is booking.,com u pay at the hotel and can cancel free up to 3 days before the stay

agoda u pay in advance

If u want info, use forums or google

What ever booking site you choose, be aware of the incredibly misleading photos of a lot of the properties. Also be aware that the "star rating" of the hotel is set by each hotel that is advertising on these sites and in most cases, is rated too high. Good luch in your search for a booking site that works for you.

thanks for the info guys. I like agoda cos it seems to be only 1 site that uses paypal to pay and they have free cancellation but it's much pricier i am not sure if booking.com's prices are cheaper even with free cancellation.

Some hotels on agoda allow pay later anyway not really interested in this i was just wondering if a website had the most basic info like deposit one needs to pay. How much for hotel limousine. How much for hotel breakfast if you didn't purchase it. Don't get me wrong, booking, agoda and TA all have that info but it's not for every hotel and it varies like take the most basic thing like the contact number of the hotel. Non of the sites provide it. Yeah that's right agoda gives you the hotel's number after booking a room there which defeats the purpose. Thank god most hotels that consider themselves to at least have a decent standard have their own websites in which you can do a google search to find the phone number and then thanks to voip free calls to thai numbers i call and ask some questions.

Actually if you think about it a hotel has to be right in the dumps if it doesn't have it's own website but then again if it's listed on internet booking sites it certainly should have its own site but that just gives the customer more hassle.

As a family guy I find all the bookers terrible on telling you exactly what types of beds you are getting and what the spare bed options are - which is quite important when you are traveling with a range of kids, some of whom might sleep on your bed if its king size, some of whom might be able to stay economically in the same room. Nearly always have to ring the hotel to find out. While on that subject I'll have a quick passing rant at Western hotel chain operators who build solely "couples rooms".

Agoda can be useful but I find its hotel info, which is obviously compiled from some "tick the appropriate box" menu given to hotel operators far too generic. Thus virtually every hotel on every beach on Phuket island is convenient for "the town". Which town <deleted>? Not Phuket Town, if you are in a hotel on a northern beach (probably not for most beaches given the horrible traffic on that island). Agoda is however blessed with a very good hotel review function which is often populated with helpful additional info.

i have run affiliate programs for Agoda, priceline ,Accor, Hotels by city,and others,

AS Santi says;

whatever information you see on the site is what the HOTELS provide.

all hotel booking sites have a form that each hotel answers the questions'.

That's is why u see some have more info than others.

Whatever site I use I normally take a look at the reviews on Trip Advisor as well and then take the view that the hotel lies somewhere between the best and the worst reviews. Some people will leave a bad review because there were no waffles for breakfast or whatever. One hotel I often use gets regular negative reviews because it's 15 mins walk to the Skytrain through a busy street market, and it is, but only if you ignore the signs pointing out the short cut through the Big C car park rolleyes.gif

Tripadvisor to me has always been the best website to use for two reasons. One you get to read actual reviews from people who have stayed there and two most of the hotels have actual pictures taken by the people who stayed there instead of the staged photos to make the property look perfect. When reading reviews though I often skip the terrible and excellent reviews because they more often than not are biased. Someone was so angry over one detail (the mattress being too hard, he was overcharged etc) that he refuses to mention any of the good stuff the hotel had. On the flip side with an excellent review the traveler was so in love with one feature of the hotel (amazing pool or beach) that they won't admit to some of the not so good stuff. Stick to the mid range reviews and you will get 99% of the information you need to know. As far as some of the extra stuff you are looking for (deposits, breakfast etc.) that information is provided by the hotels so if it is not listed on any of the major websites your best bet is to just call the hotel and ask. It will take no more time than it will to scan through hundreds of websites.
