Below is a link to a website with information about Thai student loans. Applicants need to be Thai, so this is primarily useful for your children / step children.

http://www.studentloan.or.th/loan-kys.php

General requirements are:

Parents earn less 200,000 THB income per year - Although this may be a little flexible depending on the student's parent's situation (Single parents / no contact with a parent etc)

Student loans cover:

Full course fees

Around 2000+ THB per month for living costs

Loan Repayments

Start once the student has finished university

Repayments start quite low (~3000THB), and increase each year

Interest rates are minimal (Less than 5% per year)

University fees are usually somewhere between 5,000 - 15,000 THB per semester, depending on the course (e.g. Dentistry is a lot more than math) and the university. Some of the top universities (e.g. Chula / Mahidol) may be well above this range, likewise any international courses will be well above this range*.

Please bear in mind, that what I've put above in English are just rough guidelines from what I've been told about the loans. For specific details, please get your Thai partner/children to check the website.

If any of the information I've posted above is incorrect or out of date, please pm me and I will update this post.

I'm not sure how upto date either of these links are, and recommend you speak with the universities directly, but it should give you a bit of an idea either way.
