loong
Thai women were topless 100 years ago In this village, still see topless women on a daily basis. Mind you, most of them won't see 60 again.
Emdog
Thank goodness their are men like the guy arrested for stealing panties a week or so ago. Just trying to raise the status of women could be a defence...
Hedghog
Is it a sniff movie?
Hedghog
Strange thing about the lanterns. They were originally weapons of war. Created by the Chinese. Not the Thai or Laos people, for fun and profit. Lanterns have no place in the loi kratong festival. Traditionally it is based around the water and flower offerings. Not tourist balloons. WhizBang
Oh please. More Thai stupidity. Personally, I do think women's underwear should be removed and I have worked judiciously over the years to achieve that goal.
marcusd
Sometimes we read comments on TV that lack any semblance of respect. We also read comments of Thais deriding "farangs" correctly and sometimes incorrectly but when someone (A Thai especially)makes a genuine from the Thai heart comment please show some decorum otherwise you just add fuel to the big bag the farang fire. "The destruction of Thai culture is not caused by outsiders or foreigners, but it is caused by Thais who lack the consciousness of their own art and culture" I am no wowser but I agree with the Thai guy. The festival is wonderful and if we held no respect towards culture the world would be so boring. And those of you who only think Thai means cheap sex...well you are pitiful and here because your own country wouldn't tollerate you Sent from my RM-892_apac_laos_thailand_219 using Tapatalk
sabian
Talking about Thai Lakorn's, has anyone noticed a real increase in the use of weapons, especially pistols? It's definitely looking like they are a "must have" accessory and to me that's quite a worrying trend.
TPI
I agree that women's underwear is a lowly object and should therefore be removed ! Why? Do you want to wear it or something? My wife and I always had that problem....by the time she washed the panties and the bra's and the stockings and then there were her underclothes...! noitom
Thai hypocrisy. Thai women walked the streets of Bangkok topless a century ago. Now, today, Thailand is virtually the world's house of ill repute and every Thai makes some kind of money from it.
IBoldnewguy
Get a life. Over a 100 years ago Thai women went topless in the street. Yeah, and we all had tails a million years ago. So what's wrong with a little tail...?
Thai at Heart
What I find even more sad about this whole thing is they view womans underwear as lowly . Ok and they have violence against woman on Thai soaps and other shows in Thai TV and no one and I mean no one says anything Thai society has a very low opinion of woman PERIOD So sad since woman are the stronger sex and in a lot of cases the smarter ones too Exactly! One of them is even the Prime Minister! Well, her brother bought her a job. That's not quite the same as earning it.
