Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
You're not missing anything, the point is what funds are being used to pay off the credit card. Lots of people have speculated that they can just use their credit/debit card in Thailand and it's not remitted income, end of the day common sense tells you that it is & so the only point is whether the funds used to pay it off are from assessable income or not. -

METV or Visa Exemption for multiple short-stay entries? (+ internal flights).
Hello All, First time poster here. I wanted to get some advice or information regarding my current visitations to Thailand. I have entered Thailand 5 times this year on Visa Exemption in May, June, July-August. and September/October. The most recent visit in September/October was 8 days in September, then a short trip to Japan for 5 days, and then another 5 days in October. My longest visit for any of these entries was 14 days in July-August, never extended. My time out of Thailand between these entries is anywhere between 25-40 days, apart from the most recent aforementioned trip to Japan. I always enter through Suvarnabhumi airport with no issues at current. (I have never entered Thailand before the trips this year!) My next trip is planned for November for a further 10 days, and then again in December for 23 days, my longest trip. In November, I would also be entering via Bangkok for 2 days, and then plan to get an internal flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui for a few days before returning to Bangkok. I then plan further visits after this as above. I am aware that there is no stated limit to entry to Thailand via air for Visa Exemption, but I am conscious of the quantity of Visa Exemption entries I am picking up in my passport. My questions are then 1) For these future visits, would it be advised to try to apply for an METV given then entry information above to mitigate any issues with immigration, or should Visa Exemption still be OK moving forward? 2) If METV is advisable, is this something that would likely be granted given my information above based on anyone's previous experience applying for this? and 3) When entering Koh Samui travelling from Bangkok (non-transit as advised above), would this pick up another visa exemption stamp when going through passport control at Samui and again returning to Bangkok, or because this is domestic travel and never 'officially' leaving the country you are still operating on the same exemption stamp? Happy to provide any further information should anyone ask if it helps to provide any answers! Many thanks!! -

Supercar convoy causes major delays on M6 motorway (video)
As a western I can tell you the MPH is based of a few thing. We use Miles to messure and if you drive right at 60 MPH, it will take 1 minute (60 seconds) exactly to reach 1 mile. It is simpler and easier to use and understand (for us anyways).. Another great exampl is if you have to get somewhere, say a friends home and its 10 miles away you know in your head it shoukld take you 10 minutes (at 60 MPH) or less... I mean, what the kilometer messured on and what speed do you have to drive to reach 1K in 60 seconds? If I live 10 Kilometer away from something, how do I base it? Just asking -

Monk Leads Elephants “Khun Saen” & “Saen Thap” to Deliver Supplies to Flood Victims
Well apparently even Jesus had an ulterior motive for being crucified so we shouldn't judge the monk to severely. -

Oklahoma’s Controversial Plan to Purchase 55,000 Bibles for Public Schools
That must be a different book than the Bible I know of. How on earth anything that has happened 3000 years ago in what we know of today as the middle East had anything to do with the history of the US of A? -

Could an October Surprise Shift the Deadlocked Trump-Harris Race?
You can argue all you want over it, but you can't change the optics of North Carolina, and those optics make Harris look like the incompetent cackling fool, she is. -

Parents Demand 1.21M Baht Compensation for Children They Didn’t Raise
Which is what happened with this latest coach travesty. Do you think the operator takes all his vehicles to the local garage to have the extra cylinders removed prior to an inspection, then have them re-fitted after? No... a handshake with the inspector and all is good. Same as the garage owner... do you think he turns away business by fitting extra cylinders, even if some of them are fitted inside the vehicle?? No questions asked, just an agreed price. Nothing will change after this incident, money talks, same as politicians. Finding someone libel after an accident is too late... as recent events have proven. -

Thai Police Clearance Certificate - Applying from UK
I agree. I had to turn down job offers in Education as they needed a police clearance check from Thailand. I told my perspective employers what they had read on thr internet about the procedures and timings, were far from reality. The reason I needed one was I had spent more than six months of the previous five years out of the country. We agreed I would wait until I had been in UK for five years, thus negating the need for piece clearance from abroad, and apply again.
