Staying in bkk after x'mas and after new year's eve

it's not that busy in Bangkok during the post X'mas - New year's Eve. Most people leave for somewhere else like Chiang Mai/ Chiang Rai... etc.

However, New Year's Eve can be a little hectic depending on where you go... e.g. there's a BIG countdown party at Central World & Malls around there.

But find a hotel close to the skytrain should be best if you do not have a car... or maybe a hostel which offers a private room and a balcony, so you can see the fireworks too at a better price.

There's a new hostel open up around Taksin bts station. Worth checking out! http://www.facebook.com/bkkhub.

A friend of mine knows the owner, if you are interested, i might be able to get you some discount...
