Bangkok Hospital Phuket-Oncology?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there is a oncology unit the hospital where I can get my Porta Cath flushed while I am in Phuket?

Thanks

There is no oncology department at any Phuket hospitals. Patients have to travel to Bangkok or Hat Yai for treatment.

Moving to Phuket Forum for futher answers.

Thanks for the info, you just saved me a lot of grief.

Cheers,

That must be a new service. Friend on mine was diagnosed with cancer about 18 months ago. He was told that Bangkok Phuket had no oncology dept. I was party to that conversation with the doctor. Quite honestly I was surprised. My friend was too sick to fly to Bangkok, we took him by road to a hospital in Hat Yai. Without doubt there was a need for this sort of service here in Phuket.
