Comments On Blogs

Featured Replies

How about allowing non-members to comment on blogs? Very few members read the blogs now, which means there are almost no new comments. The readers are mostly non-members. But bloggers don't know who is reading the blog, why they are reading, how often they read or where readers are. It's like writing in the Twilight Zone. There's little incentive to write without some feedback.

There's always the possibility of some nasty stuff turning up in the comments, but that can be deleted by the blog owner or a moderator.

Why not try it for a month or two and see if it's an improvement? If it doesn't result in more comments, we might as well give up.

I will bring it up with admin camerata.

It might be what the blogs need do you think?

The problem is that non-members would start spam the blogs. Currently it's members only can comment.

We might change this is the future if we have someone who can screen the comments.

Quite a few blogs display a graphic image code that has to be input with every comment to prevent spam. Do we have that feature, or can we get it?
