We are applying for fiancee visa in January and I think all the supporting paperwork is in place.

1, proof of my income.

2, proof of relationship including photos etc

3, accommodation, mothers house so she's written a letter saying we'll live there plus proof she owns the property.

4, where we intend to marry.

Is there anything I've missed? Any other advice very welcome! Nick

Yes her English test and medical are all in place. The only problem I can see is they ask for the last 2years earnings to meet the requirements, my 2012-2013 does as will 2013-2014 but 2011-2012 doesn't as I spent most of it in Thailand. Are they likely to grant the visa or should I wait till April so they have the definite 2 years? Nick

I don't know how you are meeting the financial requirement.

Though what you say about income for the last two financial years indicates that you may be self employed and using category G.

If you earned enough in 2012/13, why not use category F?

You cannot use 2013/14 as the income must be from the last complete financial year if using category F or the last two complete financial years if using category G.

If the only way you can meet the requirement means waiting until the end of the current financial year in April, then I'm afraid that is what you will have to do.

ECOs have absolutely no discretion in this matter. If the financial requirement is not met then they have no option other than to refuse.

Yes I'm self-employed, I've just re read and can meet requirements using F. I didn't read the "either f or g".....my dumb lol. Thanks for your help (again!) with this stressful proccess. Nick
