huge bright spot on bottom of pc screen

I haven't turned on my pc screen for like 10 days and when i finally do i discover that there is a bottom part that's brighter than the rest. Cannot be dead pixels cos i can see things on those portions of the screen it's just much much brighter.

By the looks of it you have a little person living in there, I'd try coaxing whoever they are out with some ice cream and soft drinks otherwise you'll probably just have to wait until they decide to leave

Looks like a delamination of the screen elements.. If you gently press near the interesting blob, does the pattern change?
