Anyone know of geo redirect web based service, or javascript for same ?

( not maxmind)

Would also consider server based using php/sql etc if someone can help ?

Unlike many posters I actually have already done search, had no joy hence the post.

Note to self: Read the topic closer. Wonder what problems you have with Maxmind, cost issue? I've used subsets (GeoIP) from them but believe there was no charge at that time (many years ago).

Maxmind in my experience are useless ! Customer support , information, and the script/ database is also rubbish. The geo ip used to be free but although the website was still promoting it, its not available, then you have very poor service and staff that cant be bothered and dont even know whats on their own website, so god help you cos they cant ! Or maybe wont, not even the so called"customer service mamager" has clue about what "service" means, they'll take your money quick enough, but anything else, you are on your own !

The cost is actually negligable, but why pay for crap !

I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy! ?......rant over !

This is obviously MY opinion based on MY experience, before someone jumps in with how wonderful they are.
