Popular Post Yunla
People at the bottom of society being injured and killed because people at the top refuse to discuss and resolve matters like educated adults, and with some humility too. In the 21stC Thailand, a nation that has the potential to be so far above all this nonsense.

ratcatcher
What does that mean? "The British are coming" Could it be that the British were known as the Redcoats? What happened to the Redcoats? It certainly doesn't apply to the revered Suthep.

Popular Post kurtgruen
Looks like they want them to move and take over the airport again? Last time, they kept shooting RPG's in, almost every night, until the demonstrators had enough and marched to the airport.

spare5
Not sure if they were paid by Thaksin to carry out the shootings. But the theory cannot be discounted. Another possibility is, paid by Suthep to cause rage already for tomorrow. Edited January 12, 2014 by spare5
smedly
like shooting fish in a barrel - pretty easy when the protestors are unarmed and what are the police doing to stop armed assassins having the run of the city - nothing Interesting that these events co-inside with "I'm F'cking back

Your rage theory falls down as the intimidation (as preached by the PM) may well outbalance the rage.

Popular Post Scamper
The overnight terror campaign continues, further underscoring the bravery of the men and women who were sleeping on the streets. Cowards are comfortable when they can't be held accountable. And they are particularly comfortable with this particular administration. Motive can be determined by action. But it can also be determined by inaction.

Normal Red-leaning posters describe people like Suthep, and other leaders of the protests, as fascists ... but are you extending that to the many ordinary protesters as well ? PhoenixRising
Looks like they want them to move and take over the airport again? Last time, they kept shooting RPG's in, almost every night, until the demonstrators had enough and marched to the airport. They were furious because so many of them lost limbs and lives while the police sat around and did nothing... the reason why they lost their tempers and took it out on rather innocent police officers, running over one repeatedly as the camera was rolling. You can never understand what's going on now until you go back on youtube and watch the hundreds of hours of video taped violence from the two years leading up to their occupation of the Swampy poo airport. I'm placing high bets that the commuters will be the ones to commit the MOST amount of violence in these shut downs. If I were in their shoes, commuting FIVE hours to work ONE way and FIVE hours home, leaving me with only a few short hours of rest, I'd be ready to get violent or give up and pass out ANYWHERE. Who wouldn't? Drivers will PLOW their way though the crowds of people out of rage. Security guards will probably use their guns on them and that's when the whole thing gets out of control. Yingluck should step down before it gets to that point or she will be blamed, at least in part for the events. And the election should be postponed until the internal matters are quieted down.
