Driving now from Khon Kaen to Nong Khai. Where can I park my car safely in NongKhai and continue by other transport in order to visit Laos for a few days?

Preferable a parking near the border with busses waiting nearby to bring us to immigration and a photo booth for getting 2 photos.

the last trip i drove from bkk to

nongkhai, i spent a coupla nights at the Mutmee Guesthouse, the Manager then, was kind enough to allow me to park my car with them for a few days... good luck !!!

There is secure parking at the bus station where shuttle buses for the bridge operate from.

It is on the right side (if coming from Udon) at intersection just before bridge.

Correct, but go in to the rear of the area past the vans that cross the bridge, there you'll see the large caged area. Last time I parked there, early last month, was for seven days. Have been doing so for 15+ years, baht 100 per day. Good and secure.

Any reason why you did not take the direct bus from Khon Kaen to Vientiane Hans?

The other question is why did you get the visa at the border and not the Laos consulate in Khon Kaen.

Both of the above are easier,quicker and cheaper.
