Is the Bangrak Amphur office on Nares Road open during the protests please? We are hoping to get married there on Thursday.

Also can anyone help me find it on the map? Google Maps is pretty useless for Bangkok unless you speak Thai, and I can't figure out where it is? Maybe someone knows a nearby landmark that does show up on Google Maps?

closed between 1-2pm as everything in Thailand.got married there 4 years ago..don't forget to bring some witnesses otherwise the poor girls from the reception have to do it- cost 100 thb each...

We did iur marriage there a few years ago. Went well. Appreciated the lack of questions. Some guys clearly out of their element; noobs to Thailand, Internet brides perhaps), other skeezy types marrying bar girls to stay on. A few 'normal' couples.

Re the date, no I never noticed it was quite an old thread. Maybe something to do with the weird date format used (US style) ;-)

And Amphur are open on Saturday as well.

My bride and I show up one Saturday morning around 10'ish. The parking lot is sparcely filled and doors are standing open so I am thinking this will not be too bad. Get in the door and all the lights out, no people in sight. As we are standing there wondering aloud what is going on a guy wanders down the stairs and she engages him: Open today? Yes open today. Where people for help us? This morning no have customer so every one go home........
